Lindsay & Jackie 

We have many years-experience in hospitality both in the UK, New Zealand & Australia returning from our travels a few years ago. Even after all this time and all those miles, we still take great delight in looking after our guests. Now, we’re over the moon to be running a wonderful pub and restaurant, like The Daneway, in such a spectacular setting. 

Our main aim is that The Daneway becomes famous in the area for its food and genuine family-spun hospitality. So, you may like to know that Lindsay creates all our menus and is often found in the kitchen ensuring standards are maintained.  He trained in a 3star Michelin restaurant with the Roux Brothers and has his own Michelin and AA rosettes for his cooking.  As a result of his culinary achievements, he was invited to become a member of the Master Chefs of Great Britain in 1989, an elite group of chefs seeking to promote all that is best about British cuisine.  

Jackie, along with the pub dogs, Brock & Lolly, generally look after our front of house, meeting and greeting guests as they have done in all the restaurants we’ve run since starting in this trade many years ago.  

Things have changed over the years we have been in hospitality, and we now do our best to protect the environment by striving to use recyclable products wherever possible.  We also make a point of working with our local suppliers to minimise food miles and to create a better environment for us all to enjoy.
